Some stuff
Switching to Melee or Grenade and sprinting up the staircase in the middle when you're on Militia can speed you up before snipers get you, and same with SWAT's ladder.
A good way of getting to the other base from the left is climbing up the first flight of the staircase, then sprinting over before reaching the very top. The momentum (and BeGone logic) should lift you over the railing and onto the truck/box stack, depending on your team.
Also, with third person, on the first and second flights of stairways on either side, you're able to see any snipers at base and quickly shoot them. Fun when using MP5; they keep looking around liek dis:
Okay, NO CAMPING SPOT IS SAFE. Unless you lag into a wall, of course. Keep moving; there's always a spot where someone can getcha.
ALSO! Not only can you see where people are when you knife into a building, but you can knife through them and melee someone THROUGH the wall. If the wall's thin enough. Good for SWAT campers in the brick wall's corners, or even when they're camping in the attic at the sides. To do that, get on the roof of SWAT's building and walk down to the small board of wood on either side of the building. You can stand there and assassinate away! :D
But they'll call you a hacker, be warned

best tactics for Timber
There's not going to be any good 1 tactic. One of the great things about Timber is there are so many ways to play it. First thing you have to do is watch what the other team is doing, particularly the top few players on that team. Are they aggressive or defensive? Where do they tend to go? There's no place to camp on this map that isn't vulnerable from another spot but there are some places that are better than others.
The stairs on the swat side building: The railings provide cover and you can see most of the map. For this reason, players frequently go there. The 2 places most vulnerable from are the rock and bushes in militia's base and the rocks in swat's base.
The roof of the house in swat's base: (on the roof not in the building) From here you have a good shot at anyone on the middle buildings, anyone approaching from the middle and to a lesser extent, anyone who approaches from either side. Best way to assault someone on the roof is either snipe at extreme range (although not from the middle of militia's base, everyone does it and everyone expects it) or a sprint from the wall to directly into the house. From there you can go out the back of the house and get behind them.
Log pile by the stairs on Militia's side of the map. Crouching behind the logs you can only be hit by a very well aimed shot. 1 person here can effectively prevent the swat team from using that entire side of the map and you can quickly move in and out of the cover to fire down the length of the middle of the map at anyone attempting to cross. Biggest weakness here is if someone comes across the middle of the map they can quickly get behind you in Militia base and pop you in the back of the head. That and grenades. It offers no protection from grenades.
I'm sure there are plenty more, but these are the most common places I've seen used. Try them and by knowing their weaknesses, you are better able to defend yourself. And if you see opponents in these places, use the weaknesses I've mentioned to take them down.
