Re: Code of Conduct
I wouldn't want to bother her with such a trivial topic. She has a lot going on with her being cool and doing stuff and such.
Re: Code of Conduct
Lol, that's some awesome butt-kissery. But, for now while there are so little members it'll be good. Learn now then when more members come there'll be more people to tell everyone about it.ToTheMax wrote:I wouldn't want to bother her with such a trivial topic. Re: Code of Conduct
Five Types of Spammers
The mass linker: I don’t know what this type of spammer is thinking, but he posts massive comments with dozens or even hundreds of links. That’s the classic spammer. It goes on like this Coke for $2.00, Pepsi $1.50, Sprite $1.00, only a hundred times. (Not the best examples I know)
The innocent commenter: this type of spammer usually leaves innocent looking , yet very generic spammy comments. For example: “Interesting post, look forward for more”. “Thanks for the article, would like you to focus on this subject again”. And sometimes even something “subtler” “I disagree with the approach you took, there are many complex points you are not addressing” (Yes, but I see quite a few people on this forum posting the first example in an even shorter way... ex. Nice! or or Cool.
Sometimes it’s even clear the spammer doesn’t know English, as the sentence looks like one that was translated using Google Translate (or an equivalent tool). I don’t remember how it went exactly, but I got one that said something like “Very decent information. Honour you!” (clearly translated, no?)
The weird commenter: Usually they leave a meaningless comment and signature (If they have one) at the end. For example: “What's your name?” “On one hand…, on the other hand…” “Doing anything soon?”.
The massive spammer: This type of spammer is the worst: he just sends one of the above in massive amounts.
The foreign spammer: this type of spammer couldn’t care less about being detected. He leaves comments in other languages which are obviously not related to the forum.
